The challenge at
CASology this week is "Cupcake". I knew I had the perfect stamp to use, a cute set by
Gina K Designs has the sweetest cupcake image. As I contemplated what to do with my cupcake I thought the sketch challenge at Paper Pal Arts would be perfect!
It's a pretty straight forward card with lots of white space. I did add a little Wink of Stella to the icing to give it a little shine.
Wow, it's a little scary to do a close up of my coloring skills :)
Happy Stamping,
Dana
That wink of stella is just the perfect finishing touch Dana!
ReplyDeleteSo good to see your lovely cupcake card at CASOLOGY!
I appreciate that you came by Hannelie! I just bought the Wink of Stella and I think it may become a staple in my projects.
DeleteThat is one sweet cupcake! Love the pink, blue, and green color scheme you've got working here, and the embossed panel too. Very sweet card! Bev
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Bev! I was thinking of my niece and how sweet she is.
DeleteVery sweet card! I love the swirls coming off the shimmery icing - they seem to burst with joy! So glad you joined us at CASology this week, Dana!
ReplyDeleteThank you Ardyth! The swirls are my favorite part of that image too.
DeleteKeep those close-ups coming, Dana ... I've enjoyed my visit here today! Darling cards!

ReplyDeleteI just took a lovely stroll through your blog - your cards are AMAZING! You definitely have a keen eye for color combinations! The cupcake on this card seriously looks yummy enough to eat!
It is always so much fun meeting new bloggers in this warm and friendly card making world of ours! Looking forward to seeing more of your talented creations :)
What a nice comment Geri, thank you so much! The original design of the blog was to include a nod to the masculine for the "couple" part of the blog, but I think I have taken over. I completely agree, card makers are some of the nicest and most generous folks!
DeleteDana love your cupcake card! So sweet and great design. Thank you for sharing at CASology this week!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and commenting Tracey. I was going for sweet, so glad it came across.
DeleteThis is as cute as can be! I love your yummilicious cupcake and your fabulous embossed background is so perfect, looks like icing to me. Fabulous blog!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim! I didn't think about the embossing as icing but as one of my "sweeter" embossing folders. But you are right, it does look like icing. BTW, I love your plate of little critter cupcakes as your online photo!
DeleteSo sweet, Dana ... lovely background texture and the most scrumptious looking and celebratory cupcake ... fabulous! Just enjoyed a gentle meander around ... such fun and what wonderful cards! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteAnita, thank you so much for your sweet comments!
