Snippets from "Didn't Make the Cut" Basket

Today my card will be submitted on Pixie's Crafty Workshop for the snippet challenge.  I made this background quite a while back for another project and it just did not make me happy.  In the "didn't make the cut" basket it went.  As I was contemplating my next card this piece caught my eye so out it came again.  The card came together very quickly and used some bits from my scraps for the banners.  Do you ever have elements that don't make the cut but later you find you really like it?  Well, I did today.

    1. Thanks for coming by and commenting Di! I have been a stalker at the Snippets Playground but this is the first time I joined in. What a great concept to encourage us to look back at bits that didn't make the cut!

  3. Lovely to meet you in the Playground! I too have a box of things that were "not quite right" because usually it just means they weren't right for the project you were working on at the time - but when you find the right place for them they work beautifully, as yours has done here.

  8. Hi Dana, just saw your pretty card over at the Snippets Playground. Loved it! But since my daughter has the same name, of COURSE I had to zip over to meet you, and join as your newest follower! The sponging & stamping on the card is so well done, and the banner treatment was a nice detail. I see you also quilt (I did that in another craft life too!). Looking forward to getting to know you better, and you'll find lots of lovely friends at the Playground. Congratulations on having your first entry there, be a week's highlight. TFS
