We’re up North taking care of some fall clean-up and
maintenance this weekend. Cleaning
gardens, taking care of leaves, putting away lawn furniture, paint touch-up and
all that good stuff. I did find a little
time to work on cards and the card I’m sharing today is based on the sketch at
Freshly Made Sketches. I love that the
sentiment is oriented vertically in this sketch.
I kept it pretty simple.
I stamped and silver embossed 3 snowflakes on Soft Sky card stock then
cut them in squares and added a slim border of silver foil paper. The sentiment is also embossed in silver on
Soft Sky card stock. The squares were
mounted with dimensionals and a small rhinestone added to the center of
each. I love that the sentiment is
curved it makes it feel a little jaunty to me, it’s those simple things in life
that make me smile.
Happy Stamping,
Dana
Your card is so beautifully elegant! I love the soft sky with the silver matting and embossing, and the rhinestones are perfect final touches. Thanks for sharing with us at Freshly Made Sketches!
ReplyDeleteCindy, thank you so much for your very nice comments! It enjoyed working with this sketch!
DeleteHey Dana...I noticed the curved sentiment right off the hop and thought it did a great job of 'gathering/collecting' the images together...similar to what a parenthesis does! Great idea! Your embossed images are stunning and PERFECTLY embossed...not a stray speck of EP shrapnel to be seen!
ReplyDeleteThank you Geri! I like the parenthesis idea! I just liked the curved sentiment hugging the images. That is what is so awesome about blogging, sharing ideas and different perspectives.
